Drive south-west from Arusha to Tarangire National Park and begin the safari among baobabs, river valleys and open savanna. Spend the afternoon searching for elephant families, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, antelope, lions and birds. During the drier months, the Tarangire River and remaining water sources can concentrate wildlife, while greener months change the distribution and scenery. Continue to the confirmed lodge, tented camp or campsite for dinner and overnight.

Travel through the Ngorongoro highlands and continue toward the Serengeti, with dramatic changes in elevation and landscape along the way. Enter the Serengeti ecosystem and begin game viewing across the plains as you work toward Central Serengeti. The afternoon is used for resident wildlife and predator searches rather than treating the drive as a simple transfer. Overnight in the Seronera/central area.

Leave camp early for a full day in Central Serengeti, an area known for year-round resident wildlife and strong big-cat opportunities. Your guide may follow river lines, kopjes and open plains depending on recent lion, leopard, cheetah and herd activity. Take a picnic lunch in the field or return to camp if location and sightings make that sensible. Continue through the afternoon and use the day to build a broad Serengeti experience before relocating toward the seasonal migration sector.

After breakfast, travel from Central Serengeti toward the region that best matches the migration season. Around the calving period this may mean the southern Serengeti/Ndutu ecosystem; in parts of the mid-year the western corridor may be relevant; and in many river-crossing months the focus shifts to northern Serengeti. The final routing is confirmed for your travel dates rather than promised from a generic calendar. Game viewing continues throughout the transfer and overnight is in a strategically located migration-area camp.

Spend the day following current wildebeest and zebra movement with your guide. Allow time for large grazing herds, predator activity, river systems or calving behavior depending on the season. Crossings and hunts are natural events and cannot be guaranteed, so the strength of this day comes from being positioned in the right broad ecosystem with enough time to wait and observe. Optional balloon safari, bush breakfast or sundowner experiences can be added where available and quoted separately.

Begin with a final Serengeti game drive before traveling back toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend to the crater floor when timing and permit arrangements allow and explore its grasslands, marshes, woodland and lake-edge habitat. Look for lions, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, elephants and, with luck, black rhino. After the crater safari, ascend toward your Karatu or Ngorongoro-area accommodation for the final safari night.

After breakfast, drive back toward Arusha. Depending on your confirmed flight time, stop for lunch or transfer directly to Arusha Airport, Kilimanjaro International Airport or your next hotel. No major wildlife activity is scheduled on this final day because the priority is a reliable connection. Guests continuing to Zanzibar can link this return with an onward domestic flight if the timings are booked accordingly.
