Can day six be customized?

Zanzibar is visited throughout the year. Ocean conditions vary, and seasonal rains can change the best timing for snorkeling, sailing and forest excursions.

The longer stay means you do not need to stack activities every day. A free beach day is intentionally kept in the plan so the holiday still feels like a holiday.

Day 01 :

Arrival at Zanzibar International Airport

Arrive in Zanzibar and meet your driver for transfer to the hotel or resort confirmed in your package. The rest of the day is for check-in, rest and a short briefing about the week. If you arrive early, enjoy the beach or surrounding area independently; if you arrive late, no sightseeing is forced into the schedule. Overnight in Zanzibar.

Arrival flow: Airport pickup, hotel check-in and a relaxed first evening are prioritized before scheduled island excursions begin.

Day 02 :

Safari Blue / Menai Bay Sailing Experience

Spend the day on the Menai Bay coast with a guided sailing and snorkeling excursion. The crew chooses sandbanks, swimming areas and snorkeling stops according to tide, wind and sea conditions. A seafood lunch and tropical fruit are normally part of the classic experience when included in your quotation. The day is meant to feel relaxed, with time in the water as well as time to enjoy the islands and coastline before returning to the hotel.

Sea-day conditions: Sailing and snorkeling depend on tide, wind and sea conditions. The crew may adjust timing or the exact stop sequence for safety and comfort.

Day 03 :

Mnemba Area Snorkeling & North Coast

Travel to the northeast coast for a snorkeling excursion in the Mnemba area. Explore suitable reef sites with a local marine crew and look for tropical fish and coral. Dolphin sightings can occur in the wider region but are never guaranteed, and responsible operators avoid chasing or crowding the animals. After snorkeling, spend additional time on the north or northeast coast before returning to your accommodation.

Responsible snorkeling: Marine wildlife is free-ranging. Snorkeling should prioritize safe reef viewing and responsible observation rather than chasing dolphins or crowding animals.

Day 04 :

Stone Town, Spice Farm & Prison Island

Discover Zanzibar’s cultural side with a guided walk through Stone Town, a visit to a spice-growing area and, when sea conditions permit, a short boat trip to Prison Island. Learn about the old city’s architecture and trading history, see how famous spices and tropical crops grow, and visit the giant tortoises on Changuu. The order is adjusted to tides and transfer efficiency.

Cultural focus: Stone Town is best explored slowly on foot with attention to architecture, markets, courtyards and the layered Swahili, Arab, Indian and European history of the old city.

Day 05 :

Jozani Forest & Southeast Coast

After breakfast, visit Jozani-Chwaka Bay area with a local guide for a forest walk focused on Zanzibar’s endemic red colobus monkeys, vegetation and conservation. Continue toward the southeast coast for lunch or beach time according to the package. This day gives the itinerary a completely different environment from Stone Town and the offshore snorkeling trips. Return to the hotel later in the afternoon.

Forest experience: The forest visit adds a terrestrial wildlife and conservation day to an itinerary otherwise dominated by coast and ocean.

Day 06 :

Beach Leisure & Optional Activities

Keep one full day deliberately open. Sleep later, enjoy the resort, swim, walk the beach or choose an optional activity such as a spa treatment, paddle activity or additional local excursion. Optional activities are paid separately unless they are written into your quotation. This unstructured day is important in a seven-day Zanzibar holiday because it prevents the trip from becoming a sequence of transfers and tours.

Slow day: This day is intentionally less structured so you can actually enjoy the resort and beach instead of spending the entire holiday in transfers.

Day 07 :

Departure Transfer

Enjoy your final breakfast and beach time if the flight schedule allows. Your driver will confirm pickup based on the hotel location, traffic conditions and airport check-in requirement. Transfer to Zanzibar International Airport or the ferry terminal for your onward journey. If you are connecting to an international flight on the mainland, make sure the connection time has been checked before booking separate tickets.

Departure transfer: Pickup is scheduled from your hotel according to flight time, road conditions and the recommended airport check-in window.
